We know that choosing an IT provider is an important decision for your organisation and that it will have lasting  impacts for years to come. Here at Techminder, we are committed to ensuring the transition is a smooth and seamless as it can possibly be, whilst recognising that changing systems can come with bumps along the way.

The joining process has been developed adapted over the years and is broken down into 6 key areas.

The first phase of any work we undertake is a comprehensive audit. This is an investigation to find out more details about your situation, your requirements, and the objectives of the project. We will typically visit you for ½ day to discuss things in detail.

Following the audit, we will produce a comprehensive report. This will detail all the strengths and weaknesses we have identified. We will then generate a proposal to help you move forward with your IT systems. Depending on budgets, this will identify the short term, medium term, and longer-term priorities.

Once the decision to move across to Techminder’s managed service has been reached, we will start to gather information from your outgoing IT provider to ensure the process is as seamless as possible. We will put together a communication to send to the users that will be impacted by the project, providing them with clear, easy to understand information. We will provide clear timescales for the project so that you can plan in advance for any disruption.

In this phase, the work agreed as part of your audit and design is physically carried out. This is where most of the migration work will take place.

All our customers receive access to our helpdesk service that operates from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Our school customers are also supported with scheduled site visits – the frequency is decided based on their requirements.

Step 6: Consolidate

In this phase, we consolidate the gains we have made and develop an ongoing strategy to ensure an IT system that continually evolves and remains fit for purpose.

Usually, the migration into a managed service can take several years to complete because of existing contracts. We continue to add value to our customers by offering them additional services when required.
